Blogger, blogger, blogger. Six months and twenty-two days have gone by! I've missed you so... but so many things have happened since my departure (good things might I add (; ). From now on I want this blog to be more than just about my outfits and fashion, I want it to be about my life and the things and people that I love and cherish. So without further ado here are a few pictures from the past six months...

What do you get when you go to a concert with crazy moms, psycho kiddies, and virgin boys? The Jonas Brothers concert (or as I like to call them, the JoBroHoes). I was a little hesitant to attend this concert but let me tell you these boys definitely know how to put on a good show. From 360 turns, to a strobe light atmosphere, to a series of larger than life platforms, to a trampoline on stage, to some pretty handsome band members (; , this is what you'll experience at their concert. Not only was the concert a hit but I was so overjoyed to see my little sister have the time of her life (they are her favorite band & are all she ever talks about) (:

So just a little update about escuela (school)... it's going great! So far so good. Met some genuinely nice girls, I have some of the funniest and most interesting professors, and Financial Accounting and myself are starting to become the best of friends (it's probably the hardest subject to comprehend). If I don't say so myself I think I'm doing a pretty darn good job of being on top of things and not procrastinating! Gold star sticker anyone? (:

On a side note... Ever tried to rid yourself from something or someone? Knowing that something or someone isn't good for ya? I guess they're like candy, the doctor says you shouldn't have any, it's bad for your health, but it tastes too good to just give up.

I think I'm craving for somethin' sweet. UH-OH!

Greetings fashionistas(os)! It's been too long... and I have a darn good reason for being M.I.A. Thanks to SCHOOL I've been a busy bee and have totally put off bloggin' for two weeks!

Can I just say that Business Management is totally different from Fashion Design... NO JOKE. I miss draping, art history, carrying around a crap load of patterns/muslin/sketching pads/my HUGE portfolio, and my friends! It's no fun carrying around a bag full of books. BLAH. Not to mention that I don't know a single soul.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is that it's going to be difficult to start all over and make new friends. Everyone faces obstacles in life. This is my obstacle at the moment... that I'm gonna face and get over (:

For some reason it's hard for me to write this blog entry. I don't know what to write. How to express my feelings. But, yesterday as I was walking to the subway station I called my mom to see how she was and she told me that Michael Jackson had passed away. My jaw dropped. I stopped walking. I was speechless.

I think he is the GREATEST performer of all time. No one could move like him, had so much soul and passion like him, or could write UH-mazing music like him. You can't help but smile and do a little move when you hear his music; for his music is contagious. I remember when I was 11 years old driving in the car with my dad and all of a sudden this song came blasting on and my dad couldn't stop singing along...it was Michael's song Rock With You. I'll never forget that day when I was introduced to Michael Jackson.

What I'm trying to get at is how fast one can leave the world. We never thought that Michael would leave the world like this, at this age or at this point in time of his career. It just comes to show that we should live every day like it is our last and to always cherish and keep loved ones close.

Yesterday was the celebration for the accomplishment of what I have worked hardest for in my life! It was the celebration for completing projects that seemed impossible, the countless all-nighters I had to pull, the cutting, sewing, and sweat and tears, the commuting, meeting the most talented and most amazing people, being emotionally drained every day, but most of all doing what I absolutely love to do and was born to do, Fashion Design.

Yesterday, I was thinking about how far I've come. I remember my first day at FIDM, I didn't know how to sew, sketch a 9-head croquis, make patterns, or know the difference between satin and sateen. I was young, naive, irresponsible, and a wallflower. After completing 2 grueling years of Fashion Design I feel like I have blossomed... into a more confident, mature, outgoing, and self-driven young lady. Without my family, friends, classmates, teachers, God, and the belief in myself, I wouldn't be the person that I am today. Now I feel like, scratch that, KNOW that I was put on this planet to DESIGN! It truly is the best feeling to know who you are as a person and know what you are meant to do in this world(:

Since it's 12:13 in the AM that means there's only 4 more days till I graduate! Luckily, today I found my graduation dress. One word to describe the dress = LIME. I was hesitant to try on the dress at first but as I walked around with it in my hand the color grew on me(: Four more days and you'll get to see it...

On another note, don't you just hate it when people take their anger out on you? I DO! But, I am guilty as charged for this action. I have so much running through my mind... having to finish re-decorating my room by the end of June, finish touch-ups on my portfolio, sending out resumes to 324985489 companies, and preparing myself mentally for the Bacehlor's program at school (another 2 years at FIDM :P ) I guess I didn't realize I was throwing all this stress on certain loved ones until now.

I just need to take my anger/stress out on something else....like a punching bag (going to kick boxing & losing a few pounds!), take a cycling class and ride the bike as fast as I can!, or even just meditating in my room with the lights off. The great thing about all of these things, minus the meditating, is that I'll be able to get in shape and feel better about my body(:

So I've absolutely enjoyed the weather these past few days! Cloudy, overcast, cool...just my style(: If only summer could stay like this...

Random thought: Flirty smiles are just awkward.

I hung out with a girlfriend this past weekend and we tried this whole flirty smile thing...and I just felt RETARDED. Funny thing...when my friend and I saw this gorgeous XY chromosome (guy) he had the most beautiful eyes. So when I saw his eyes I told my friend it looked like he was wearing mascara and as I told her I did this little hand motion of putting mascara on my eyelashes. As I did the hand motion this other fella who was standing right next to Mr. Beautiful Eyes thought I was saying "Hi" to him or was flirting with him. HA. I didn't even mean to look at him.

Next thing you know this fella comes over to us and asks if he could sit at the table next to us. Being the ladies that we are we said of course. (At this point I was trying so hard not to LOL) As he sat next to me I could tell that he wanted to chit chat...but being the scorpio that I am...I didn't. OOPS. The whole time my friend kept nudging me to talk to him...but I couldn't.

I don't know...moments like that I get nervous and act stoopid. Sometimes I don't know what to do with myself :P

How's everyone doing? I hope well! This week for me has been crazy...from registering for classes at the butt crack of dawn, to sending out a million resumes, to being the photographer at a birthday party, to running errands around Simi like a loca, to creating the best birthday gift! All in all this week has been good to me(: And I hope it was to you!

Well, this is what I wore to the birthday and I lalalove it! I hardly ever wear skirts so I decided to wear this A-line skirt. I've got to admit though, it is fun to wear skirts and dresses(: You just feel so feminine! Time for me to put the pants to rest and start showing some leg(;

Oh my lord! Its been quite some time since I've blogged. TISK TISK. But I have a good reason for being absent....being busy busy every day of the week(:

Today though, I got to relax and play around on the beach up in Santa Barbara! (Random fact: Did you know that Santa Barbara is known for its bars? Hence the two BAR's in Santa Barbara.) Wow, I'm lame. Anyway, it was just nice to get away from home and go venture off and see new things/people. I don't know about you but I like to people watch, I think it's one of my hobbies....it's basically what I did the whole day except for when I went shopping and grubbed on UH-mazing food!

This has been such a good week! I spent most of the time driving to new places(:, making more handmade headbands, bought two vintage blazers (the one i'm wearing is one of the two), finally got inspired (best feeling in the world!), and extremely enjoyed a night out on the town with some fierce ladies(;

But, going back to being inspired...it has been quite some time since I've been truly inspired, designing wise. The funny thing is that a little book helped me get out of that rut that I was in. The book is called Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail Again. Fail Better*. and every page is filled with quotes which help introduce perspective in our lives by reminding us that unaccepted failure is just a step toward success.

Personally, this little book has helped me tremendously. In my last quarter of school I took my last & final portfolio class, the most time consuming of them all....not to mention the one that emotionally dragged me down. When I first presented my portfolio to the teacher, they laid everything out on the table like... "Do you really think this garment would sell?" "What were you thinking when you designed this thing?" "You have poor construction" and BLAH blah BLAH.

First thought to come to mind: WTF. From then on I felt empty. But after reading the book...DGAF to that teacher. Being in the industry that I'm in everyone is going to put their 2 cents in. So now I'm not letting anyone bring me down because I'm too good enough to give up on a talent that I possess, & that I LOVE TOO MUCH!

What a great day! Summer is a commin'...and that means late nights, random trips, driving with the windows rolled down, bright summer clothes, delish home-made food, seeing old friends, and new opportunities :D

That is why I love my mama. And no, I didn't fry today....I'm just used to the heat (Argentina is my second home = humid summers), thank goodness!

Today is my dad's birthday and everyone is at the house and when I say everyone, I mean every Argentinian in Simi Valley plus my family. As I'm speaking the party is just getting started, music pumpin', food grubbin', & drinks flowin'. Gotta love days like this(:

Just got back from a good workout at the gym! A game of basketball with some fellas and a few weights here and there is my kinda workout(: It beats running on the treadmill :P

On another note, I've come to the conclusion that I need to go out and venture off. Don't you ever get tired of doing the same things over and over? Going to the same place to hang out, to shop, to get ice cream, seeing the same people? Or is it good doing the same things over and over again?

How can one learn if they are always surrounded by the same people/things/environment?

So much was done today! I love being occupied! Woke up at the but crack of dawn and took the sister to school, ran some errands, took the G-ma to her job, and treated myself to a little somethin' somethin' (: And by somethin' somethin' I mean a thrifted baby pink blazer (only $2!) and a black leather clutch (only $1). Can we say BARGAIN? YES!

Around noon I went to get some lunch, sat outside, and people watched (thank goodness I was wearing my sunnies LOL). Grubbin' on my delish burger, I noticed a young couple....and by young I mean in college. And, as I observed I thought to myself, Can someone so young really be in love? (LOVE, the four letter word that scares me)

I mean, I don't understand it when girls my age (19) think that their boyfriend is in love with them, or at the most, fully committed to them!?! How can a guy at this age be fully committed to his girlfriend if he doesn't know who he is (working man/man in general), doesn't know what he wants to do with his life (going in the right direction career wise), and doesn't receive the reward he gets for that effort (how much he makes). If he doesn't possess those three things, I don't think he can be committed to someone, or fulfill someone.

But, don't take my word, I've never been in a relationship :P

Today was a good day! I got to drive around and think about a million things as well as spend some quality DIVA time with my girls Ramya and Amanpreet (shout out to you lovely ladies!). Nothing's better than being by one's self and being able to drift off and ponder things.

Waiting for the street light to turn green I came to the conclusion that it's useless to dwell on the past. Just pick up your things and move on. Keywords: MOVE ON. What good is it to keep looking back and thinking/saying to yourself that you could've done this better or say this instead of that. If you dig your whole deeper, where does it get you? Focusing on such negativity will only bring more negativity.

So unload all that crap and begin on a new path.

Don't you ever wish you could just go back in time to any era? Watching On the Town definitely made me want to be in New York in 1949. Beautiful women, handsome men, to die for clothes, sweet tunes, and magnificent choreography is what this film is all about! I still can't get over the fact how charming Gene Kelly (he makes me swoon LOL) is on the dance floor or how Ann Miller can move her feet the way she does! True talent right there!

On a side note.... I NEED A HAIRCUT! and maybe color it as well...I'm thinking of going burgundy red this time (time to spice things up for summer).

Life has been pretty good lately, can't complain. Well, no, I am going to complain haha. I've been out of school now for about a month or so and it feels weird. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE not having h.w. and being able to sleep for hours, but I am so BORED! I miss my friends from school (shout out to miss Amber(: and miss fierce Christy!), being a busy bee, making fun of teachers lol, and riding the train and feeling those butterflies fly around in my stomach. When I was in school I really didn't have to worry about finding a job, because being occupied with school and projects kept me busy and were my main focus. But now that I'm out of school and have an AA in Fashion Design, I am left with having to find a job (the 3 letter word that I hate so much)! But, for some reason I don't have the drive that I used to have when I was in school. I really don't want a job. And I really don't want to design.

WTF? I think I have lost my mind. I'm tired of putting on my "poker face"...making it seem to others that I want to get a job designing for someone...or that I want to design at all. Really, I'm confused. I don't know what I want, I thought I did, but I don't. Help anyone?

Time for some re-thinking.

Its been a few crazy weeks lately! But luckily, this past weekend I hung out with my beautiful ladies

(aka the Cochinas). We decided to get all dolled up and go out. We ate at this delish Persian restaurant

which consisted of loud Middle Eastern music, a belly dancer, and scrumptious food. Once we finished we

headed for some ice cream...at Rite-Aid(: Nothing completes our nights without having a scoop (or two(; )

Where did the time go? I can't believe February is a day away! It seems like New Years was just last night!

Well, January has treated me fairly well...with endless projects that occupy my everyday life to spending as much

a good month. Hopefully February will bring something new...like friendships, job opportunities!, a special someone(;

Today was an eventful day, from going to the doctors and getting the most painful shot, to picking up G-boo (the lil sis), to sippin on the most amazing slurpees, to hanging out with my good friends that I haven't seen in what seems a million years! So at 4:30 p.m. the adventure started! My friends Ramya Love Guru, Emmalita, Mirna Love, and myself embarked on our journey to the Critics Choice Awards held in the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. With no tickets to the show or to be "fillers" (people who fill in the empty seats during the show) we decided to be those annoying fans who stand behind the barricades and yell the stars' names. Let me tell you, IT WAS SO MUCH FUN(: Right when we got there Brad and Angelina graced us with their presence, Angelina wearing this gorgeous gray floor length gown with her hair tied back in a ponytail and Brad in his usual attire, a black tux with a bow tie and his hair slicked back. As Mirna Love would say, "They looked like wax statues just walking along the red carpet!" Then, we saw Katy Perry, Sarah Silverman, Kevin Bacon (he's a cutie), Amy Adams, Ann Hathaway (gorgeous beyond belief), some cute guy who we think was from the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and the SEXY Richard Gere(; After being giddy and annoying fans we went to 3rd Street Promenade to have dinner at Barney's. This place has anything you can imagine from 20 different omelets, to burgers, to potato skins, to salads! Plus the bathrooms inside were pretty enjoyable(; All in all, today was one for the books(: I loved seeing my friends, because they made me the person I am today. Even though we've had our ups and our downs, I still LOVE them! (Shout out to my girls!)

Sadly my winter break is coming to an end :/ But I still have 4 more beautifull days :D which means adventures and flea

markets with my girls! Today was nice, I got to wake up late (my favorite part about break), had some delish food and picked up my little

sister from school...how I DON'T miss middle school hahah. Although it wasn't that nippy outside I wanted to wear my knitted sweater which

Ahhh! I can already feel winter coming, hence the frozen water on the windshield and the drip drops of rain. Personally, winter is the best season(: Wearing chunky knits, oversized coats, cute little beanies (my personal favorite), and tights! One piece of clothing that I can't wait to wear is this blazer. My friends call it the "Beetle Juice" jacket (that just makes me love it even more!). I plan on wearing it with a black v-neck t, tulle mini skirt, tights, and some pretty delish heels.
